THIS YEAR’S THEME: TECHNOLOGY FOR GOOD

Technology affects nearly every aspect of our daily lives including communication, security, transportation, safety, food, finance, healthcare and so much more. Let’s explore how can we use this scientific knowledge to deliver a positive impact on the world around us.

WHY ATTEND

  • Explore
With over 10,000 companies facilitating 120,000 jobs, B.C.’s technology sector employs more people than forestry, mining, oil & gas and utilities combined and continues to be one of the top five contributors to the provincial economy. An additional 83,000 jobs are expected to be added by 2027, many of which are roles that don’t even exist yet. Future employees need to be highly-skilled and adaptable in this rapidly changing world.
  • Benefit
JABC TechWorks 2022-23 will place special emphasis on how technology has improved the lives of people around the world and how it can be used in a safe and positive way to benefit society and improve our quality of life.
  • Engage
This interactive experience is a powerful way for students to learn about real-world career opportunities in the tech sector and beyond. They can even develop a new education plan and career path after completing this unique program.
